Sorry there hasn't been much over the past month. I'm currently looking for a job, so I haven't focused on the game as much. Regardless, here's a patch with a host of fixes and some new content.
-A new enemy type, the assassins, have been added to the game. They can only be found in the dev testing level. They're a little buggy and lack a few sound effects, but they are pretty much complete.
-A new enemy variant has been added, the giant slime. Like the big caster, these don't count as part of the 20 main enemies and are simply a variant. When hit, they burst into a number of regular sized slimes. One has been added to the demo level.
-Falling off the stage no longer kills you, instead deducting a heart and teleporting you back to the last checkpoint, without respawning any enemies like regular death does.
-The damage on the crossbow alt-fire has been buffed, increasing its effectiveness beyond being just a hitstunning tool.
-Two more checkpoints have been added to the stage.
-Minor changes all across the stage to make for smoother play, including changes to the wallkick section on the town island.
-The slime dealer has a new product. For 50 coins, you can buy a hint that gives you information about secrets in the level, as well as how to progress.
-Various minor bug fixes
Hopefully these all make the playing experience smoother!
